BREVARD MEDICATION DISPOSAL

Free and convenient way to help fight the opioid crisis.

YEAR-ROUND LOCATIONS

Help prevent medication abuse and misuse by collecting any unused or expired medications in your home for an anonymous, safe, and environmentally-friendly disposal.

BUILT INTO GOOGLE MAPS

Recently Google has partnered with a number of companies and federal agencies, including the DEA, to make it even easier to find disposal locations. A search like “drug drop off near me” or “medication disposal near me” will display permanent disposal locations at your local pharmacy, hospital or government building so you can quickly and safely discard your unneeded medication.

WHAT IS THE OPIOID EPIDEMIC?

“Opioids” is a term for drugs that bind to opioid receptors in the body. They include everything from heroin and fentanyl to prescription pills like oxycodone (OxyContin®), hydrocodone (Vicodin®), codeine and morphine. Every day more than 130 people in America die due to the misuse of these drugs. That’s one person every 11 minutes. “Opioid epidemic” is the term used to describe this health crisis.
